Here is my Friday Sketch over at
ASB. The template will be available for free asap.

Here's my page based on this template. I decided that I wanted my digital pages to look less like paper pages (stuff layered on each other), so I used the largest plant photo as an overlay behind the photo block. It totally darkened and changed the two papers for the background and the circle, but that's ok. I like the leafy effect.
Papers are a free Earth Day kit at
www.divinedigital.com. Staples and white brush are from Anne's kits at ASB.

Here's the story. Someone at work gave me this plant. No one in the office knows what it is even though there are many of them around. Deb says it's "madagascar something", but with several internet searches and even posting photos on some plant forums I don't have a clue what it is! The stem has 5 distinct sides bordered by what I would call thick dense fur, like horse hair. It looks prickly, but isn't. And the furry part up between the leaves pops and drops small gray round seeds, which, I'm told we throw back into the pots to grow baby plants. My plant is about 2 feet tall and loves to fall over. The leaves are about 3x7 inches. And it loves the office lighting.
If anyone can tell me what it is, I'll be glad to send you a couple of seeds!! :)
Edited in 2010: It's a Jewel of Madagascar.
