Texture play

I had a little time to download photos from my camera & play with the Day 5 lesson on texture at www.jessicasprague.com.

This is the chapel where my husband and I were married. While I'm on vacation here in the town I grew up in, I took advantage and went to the chapel and took a few photos today.

Here is a photo of the Santa Cruz boardwalk- which I got to revisit this past weekend.



And with texture. One is at full color and the other is slightly desaturated.




Textures are from Lost and Taken, and one that was downlaoded from the class at JS but I don't know where the actual texture was from.

Old timey photos with a frame & stars

Supplies: frame by Jessica Sprague. Everything else came with Photoshop. ;)
The goal was to make a perfectly good photo into an old timey look. This photo wasn't great SOOC, because her face was in shadow, but the effect is pretty cool.

I almost made it through the day and forgot to scrapbook this picture! I'm not good with layering elements & I prefer straight simple pages, but this was fun. The hardest thing about this is I haven't seen this girl (my niece) since she was born, so I know nothing about her. And you all know I like lots of journaling! Guess what, though? I get to see her this weekend! WOO HOO! I'm going home on vacation!! :D
