Scrapping out of order

I think I have posted about scrapbooking out of order before, but this post pretty much sums it up for me. Especially this line: My favorite pages are the ones I am inspired to scrap, not the ones I “have” to scrap.
Check out the rest of the blog, too. It's one of my new favorites!

MIA again

My laptop is down again. I'm praying that I saved those layouts from the 2 previous posts to my external hard drive, rather than the (new) internal hard drive, so I don't have to recreate them. :( Hopefully my dear hubby will get it fixed ASAP and I can get back to scrapping- because I just signed up for Type Writer 1 and 2 at JessicaSprague.com AND the new Ali class that starts in October on BPS! I NEED MY PHOTOSHOP!! :( Hopefully I'll be posting again soon!

While I'm here, I want to publicly say that I'll sure miss Becky Higgins in Creating Keepsakes. We all know how much I love her sketches, and I was just thinking reading this that her handwriting is in my scrapbooks almost as much as mine is! ;)

It worked!

The previous post, where I tried to talk myself into getting back on the scrappin' wagon- it worked! It's not even noon and I finished 2 layouts!

(See supplies in previous post.)

The thing about doing these two layouts is this- they reminded me how much I miss using my dSLR. I really do miss my camera! If I didn't tell you, while I was still on vacation in California in late July, I took my $650 camera on my Dad's boat in the lake, and it got bounced around so much that it stopped reading memory cards! I can't write to memory cards, so I can't take pictures, and I can't upload my last 200 photos that I took on my vacation! I need to send it in to be repaired, but I'm afraid it will cost $250, and I can't afford that right now. But I REALLY REALLY miss my camera, so I'm going to have to send it in anyway. I definitely don't need a $650 paperweight!

Another thing I notice is I seriously need more close up shots of me and my dear husband! I just noticed that I used the same photo on three of these layouts!! Ooops! (Hear that, Art? We need to take more pics! *Love ya!*)

Inspiration to keep going

I need to get back on the wagon. I started off so well, keeping up with the Beautiful Evidence class I was taking. It's 20 layouts in 20 days. And the class is over, but I only have 7 layouts done. Yep, this past week I fell off and haven't done even one. So I'm posting them here to use them as inspiration to KEEP GOING!

Supplies are all from the class, from Jessica Sprague, Katie Pertiet, Merideth Fenwick, Designer Digitals, and Jan Crowley. Font is VT Remington, and some with my own handwriting using a Wacom Tablet.

So, Nicky, KEEP GOING!!!
