One of my favorite baker-bloggers, I Am Baker, is organizing a Desserts for the Deserving project.  She's collecting nominations of people who need a little extra love right now- maybe they have health issues, have lost a loved one, or anything that makes you think they need a little extra love, and pairing them with a baker to bake them some cookies.  Just to be nice.

I think it's a fantastic idea.

There's no way I could do something like this. I have like 20 readers. But still, I love the idea. I'll promote her idea.  And I'll bake some cookies for someone deserving.  Right now I'm baking for a squadron of airmen in Afghanistan.  They deserve a little love.

So in my own way I'm paying it forward...baker style.
