Anyway, only four of us showed up this past week. When we sent out the reminder on Facebook, and only a few of us were coming. I suggested we bring cameras (sometimes we just evaluate photos we've taken or talk about something we will be shooting for the next few weeks) and something to shoot. I left it at that.
I gathered a few items from around my house that might be fun. We were shooting indoors at night, so that didn't help much.
These are the items I brought:
white Christmas lights
colored Christmas lights
a candle and lighter
a swirly glass vase
brand new crayons
And when my friend texted me and asked what she should bring, I asked if she had:
a glass vase without any designs
Here are a few of my favorite photos from that night.
I borrowed the rock from outside the building. Yes, I returned it when I left. :) This is a Lego miner pushing a boulder.
A Lego knight with his enemy sneaking up behind him.
My wedding ring. I had seen photos like this before (with the heart shadow) and loved it. We used the flashlight for lighting.
My friend's wedding ring.
My friend's vase with water and food coloring drops. Next time we need a vase that's not quite so rounded and we'll try not to get as many light reflections.
And the ultimate... Can you tell what we call this guy?
He's a knight.
On a bible.
"Oh Holy Knight!!!" Ha ha! My friend Jami is a hoot!
Do you have a photo club or friends to meet and play with?
